Joseph and Heather Bouza's Wedding 2014

On December 27, 2014 our daughter, Heather Marie Durapau became Heather Durapau Bouza when she married her true love, Joseph Bouza. The rehearsal was held on December 22, 2014 and the rehearsal dinner was at Fenier Landing in LaPlace, Louisiana. It was a really nice, quiet and relaxing gathering of just a few important people. On December 25, we were able to just stay home and celebrate Christmas together as a family. It was relaxing with no nerves about the wedding and no last minute craziness of having to run around before the big day. I give Heather all of the credit for doing a great job of planning and staying on top of all of the details for her special day. Marty and I were invited to attend Brittany and B.J. Madere's wedding on December 26th which was at Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. This is the same venue that Heather was getting married at the very next night. We had family in town but I really wanted to go so I could experience this wedding as a full 4 hour dress rehearsal for Heather and Joseph's wedding! Chelsey and Ross were also standing in this wedding so that made it extra special. The owner of Cedar Grove told us that this was the first time that parents of the bride attended a wedding the night before their own daughter was scheduled to get married there.

Heather and Joseph gave gifts to their wedding party
and they surprised Marty and I with a gift.
Wine glasses that were inscribed...
"I survived my daughters wedding"!

Southern girls always have lots of bridesmaids, lol

Extremely PROUD parents!

Heather wearing a veil made Mama Al so happy!

The good thing about everyone wearing booths is that it did rain the evening of the wedding and the girls didn't have to worry about their shoes sinking in mud.
Marty & Heather's ride to the wedding.

Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation!
Heather created these beautiful center pieces. I kept telling her that she really didn't need to do them because the Plantation provided pretty center pieces and that no one would even notice. She even went through the extra trouble of buying a few at a time when Michael's craft store would have a sale or a coupon. But I have to admit that when I walked in the room before the wedding her center pieces were gorgeous and really made it special.  All I could say is this is so Heather!

Heather chose to have the guests sign this picture instead of a guest book because Heather is an artist and wanted a picture to hang in her new house.
Tony's Chacheres seasoning created by Heather
as her wedding favors for the guests.
"Thank you for SPICING up our day"!
There was a special room just for the bride and
her bridesmaids to enjoy champagne before the wedding.

The guys gathered outside by the fireplace. The pastor that performed the ceremony is Matthew Delatorre, he was Joseph's youth Pastor at Covenant Church in Destrehan.

They wrote letters to each other
and read them right before the start of the wedding.

Dem boots were made for dancing!

Marty and Heather walked down the isle to the song
"A Thousand Years" by Christina Perry.

Another art project! I was SO worried that she was going to get paint on her dress!!!
A special moment because this young couple
loves God and believes in the power of prayer.

Father daughter dance was "Cinderella" by Steven Curtis Chapman
Mother - Son dance was "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts

I always thought that feeding each other cake was a silly part of the wedding, but I just learned that in the Bible a covenant always has signs and usually a covenant meal. That is what this is meant to symbolize.  Now this makes a little more sense and is actually very beautiful.

Bouquet toss….Who will get married next?

Looks like she is saying wait! lol
 Garter toss

My girls doing what they love to do, dance!

Family Fun!

That's my two crazy Son-in-Laws, lol. They fit in just fine with our crazy family.

Marty partied a little too much and became the photo booth, lol
Two weddings in less than 5 months, will he survive???

A Fairytale ending!

The End.
Or should I say, The Beginning!!!

  2. Wedding time is the best time because everybody flies from far off places to attend it and it is the time when everybody is together. She looks stunning in the wedding dress, I can’t take my eyes off her photographs. My wedding event venue has also been finalized and I can’t wait to meet everybody.
